Large farmhouse table

A Large 19th century French farmhouse table. The top to this fabulous table was constructed over a century ago from three wide thick solid beech timbers. Over the decades the top has been used, scrubbed and bleached to a much paler colour giving a slightly more natural look. The 4.5 cm thick beech top sits firmly on its original base and has the benefit of being detachable making it easier to transport due to its sheer density. The grey painted base consists of four slightly tapering legs all united by a shallow apron with a useful cutlery drawer to one end. A pleasing French country farmhouse table of generous scale. Circa 1880.
