Well cast with good crisp detail and nicely weathered after decades of being exposed to the elements. Cast stone cherub statue clasping bunches of plump ripened grapes. Venetian wall mirror

A mid century Venetian wall mirror. This elegant Venetian mirror has a decorative cartouche to the top which is echoed at the base of the mirror. The outer Venetian mirrored glass is etched with flowers and leaves with a slender oval set within decorated with inverted convex bubbles to the outer edge. Superb original condition with only minor foxing. Circa 1950.

Silver leaf wall mirror

A fine example of a 19th century French silver leaf mirror in superb original condition. The surface to the frame of this pretty mirror is decorated with a fine etched flower and leaf design entwining around the entire surround. The silver leaf is original, bright and lustrous with just a little surface wear consistent with its age and history. Perfect as an overmantle or equally stunning as a wall mirror to enhance any room. Good original glass plate with only minor foxing. Original pine backboards. France circa 1860.

Fine mahogany commode

A 19th century Mahogany commode. The detail to this beautiful commode is really quite special. The original polished black marble top is flecked with grey and white with a smattering of fossil fragments. Below are five drawers. A long narrow drawer sits above three deeper drawers with a slim concealed drawer within the base plinth, all housed within a heavy quality oak carcass. Three deeper drawers are each fitted with a neat, fine wooden escutcheon together with the original key working all the locks. The prettiest flame Mahogany veneers have been used and matched to the sides and each drawer front creating a uniform pattern for smart continuity. The beauty of this pretty commode are the Mahogany barley twist columns that rise up on either side together with a fine row of wooden bobbins to the top, bottom and sides making it really quite unique. The drawers are oak and walnut lined, they all fit neatly and run with perfect ease. Raised on turned shapely feet to the front with plain sturdy square feet to the back. A super quality Mahogany commode, gorgeous deep colour with a richly polished surface. France circa 1880.

The circular Walnut top to this pretty table has a neat raised gallery to the edge and is supported by a turned polished walnut stem raised upon an angular triform base. The walnut timber has developed the most glorious colour and deep patina over the past century and more. Superb original condition. French circa 1870.

Glazed bookcase

A 19th century French glazed bookcase of smaller proportions. This elegant bookcase comes in three parts. The top section has two solid oak adjustable shelves with a static third at the base of the cupboard all enclosed behind two clear glazed doors with working lock and key. To the top sits a separate detachable cornice. The lower section being a two drawer two door buffet having good storage space with single shelf enclosed. The drawers fit well and run with ease, the cupboard has a working lock and key. The neat proportions to this pretty bookcase make it perfect to tuck into a small alcove although it would look equally impressive in any setting. The solid cherrywood timbers hold the prettiest grain now mellowed to the richest colour and have developed a deep patina over the past century and more. Shield shaped Venetian mirror
