A late 19th early 20th century freestanding dressing mirror. The tall slender proportions to this elegant mirror make it perfectly suitable for use as a dressing room mirror. The original glass plate is set within a polished mahogany frame with a narrow gilded inner border. The frame is surmounted with a decorative fretwork crest with centre giltwood motif. Original backboard. Replaced hanging loops and steel wire for wall mounting if required.

The frame is embellished with a series of patinated gilt metal leaves with faceted glass lozenges suspended. Twin branches terminating with painted drip pans together with inner brass candle holders. Large carved wood sunburst mirror

A mid century French sunburst mirror of super scale proportions. This impressive statement sunburst mirror really does have the wow factor and is certainly one of the largest we’ve had in the past forty years! The large original mirror plate is encircled by a decorative gilded border with evenly spaced criss cross design together with a mass of carved wood sunny rays in the form of gilded Prince of Wales feathers. The original gilding has mellowed to a gorgeous golden colour with a naturally patinated surface from decades of use only enhancing its already stunning appearance. The original mirror plate does have a little foxing as one would expect all in keeping with its history and age. Its scale is such that it would work perfectly as a large circular overmantle mirror. Each sconce holds twin scrolling branches terminating with a faux card candle light fitting above a large scalloped glass drip pan. Newly wired to British safety standards ready to be installed into the home.

Crested Venetian mirror

A mid century Venetian mirror. This beautiful mirror is presented in superb original condition. The large central mirror plate has a neat bevelled edge and is surrounded by a wide mirrored foliate border with serpentine top. To the top of the mirror sits the most flamboyant cartouche of scrolling mirrored margins decorated with dozens of tiny glass optics and etched flowers. Original Venetian mirror. Original wooden backboard. Replaced and strengthened hanging loops and steel wire for extra support. Italy circa 1950.

Miniature captains chair
